I attended Der Rosenkavalier on June 11 - it was my first opera. I loved it thoroughly and I give much of the credit to Mr. Helnwein's designs. The advertisement drew me to the opera and though I was a little disappointed that moment dipicted never took place, I still had the best first opera experience a girl could have. My heart was caught up.

I am very happy because I got to see Der Rosenkavalier last Saturday night after having had a look at some of the work that went into the costumes and sets at Gottfried's studio in April.

I'm so excited to see an artist who is able to express the emotions which some people of my generation have.... Your art and your ironic way of showing what a lot of people are afraid of or embarased of, is amazing.

i have had opportunity to view many of your showings in san francisco.i enjoy the many facets of your art:drawings, watercolors, photography and that you have collaberated in group exhibits.you capture the innocence of children without perversion or exploitation which is why i have continued to follow your expression of them.in a world that aims to censor all forms of art, including literature and film, with a supposed goal "to protect children" from violence, obscenity and sex, i find the thought police to be the very thing that we all need protection from.when the first five minutes of network&local news is so jam-packed with censored violence hurled at us so quickly that a catatonic state of being inflicts the psyche;i suppose the goal of desensitizing is unattainable. however, i dare say that the majority of viewers are not phased by the evening news in such a disturbing way as this.no, those of that majority are instead offended by lyrics, authors, ARTISTS and non-WASP religions-who are given access to and by the media to express their "right" of free speech-we ought to be protected from the banter, lies and inacurate reports of what will eventually be recorded AS history.a supposed TRUTH.his story! as a child's beauty reflected through your artworks, (my)innocence, not ignorance, eloquently unveils such an ugly, disturbed, disgraceful society.humanity is sick, not artists such as yourself."creative evolution" is part of the machine.without it humans would be like insects.though i could argue that a schism of just such humans is taking form-i could go on, but lets move on shall we.if more people recognized children within their innocence i believe a shift of focus would likely occure.but i know this will not be done through the majority for they are conditioned to faithlessly fuel the machine-unaware of their obsolete and inefficient purpose;disposable while creating waste toxic hazardous crude oil sludge-"attention walmart shoppers, we'd like to remind you that your continued support is needed in order to provide slave/child labor materials priced affordable at your own slave labor wages.you want cheap prices you get cheaply produced items not made to last long but to dispose of, throw away and then come back to buy another cuz you can afford it,we make sure you can-slave wages afforded by slave labor.support your fellow slave and thank you for shopping at walmart."do you think walmart is a child-friendly employer and environment? i am part of the minority who will not shop at walmart-the shift in focus if you will.we cry for humanity.i am not wealthy, probably make less than a lot of malmart shoppers yet i am not needy, pay cash for furniture and electronics.purchase quality made items so they last.not cheap and disposable. i write "i am not a slave" on many of the $1 bills passing through my hands.children are not little monsters or preditors many fear. when focused close-up they are angelic, though their back drop maked them appear mischievious or demonized.censor that!
