The car culture exhibition at Lentos art museum ion Linz has managed to attract 23,000 visitors - making it one of the most successful project so far.

Curators say that it's particularly popular with families and schools offering plenty for visitors to talk about.

Artists have put various car related projects on display and the visitors were invited in by the VW beetle hanging outside.

The exhibition goes on until 4 July by which they expect to have reached the 30,000 visitor mark.

In comparison the Kokoschka exhibition attracted 40,000 and the Helnwein exhibition 50,000.
