Queens of the Castle: ELVIS Presleys’s ex Priscilla will secretly see in the New Year at an IRISH castle.
She and daughter Lisa Marie are staying at a Castle in Co Tipperary. Lisa Marie, who was briefly married to fallen pop king Michael Jackson, was at weird rocker Marilyn Manson’s wedding there last year. She and Priscilla, -who wed the King when still a teenager- arrived on Thursday. The Presleys' host will be the reclusive Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein. Priscilla and Gottfried are rumoured to have become good pals due to her love of his unusual art
ELVIS Presley's ex-wife Priscilia and their daughter Lisa Marie have jetted in to ring in the New Year at a remote Irish castle.
The Presleys are holed up in the exclusive Castle Gurteen Le Poer, in Kilasheen, Co Tipperary. And they arrived here just days after Lisa Marie's ex-hubby Michael Jackson, 48, left HIS secluded rural Irish haunt and jetted to Las Vegas with his kids last Saturday.
Troubled 'King of Pop' Jackson, right, had been staying at a number of locations in Ireland over the past six months including superhoofer Michael Flatley's home - Castlehyde in Co Cork.
Meanwhile, the Presleys' host will be the reclusive Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein. Priscilla and Gottfried are rumoured to have become good pals due to her love of his unusual art. The Presleys jetted into Heathrow Airport last Wednesday from Los Angeles.
From there they flew to Shannon Airport arriving at 11.40 on Thursday morning. On arrival they were ushered through the VIP area where they were picked up by three drivers. Their party - ten in total - then made the hour-long drive across the country to the rustic manor.
Another car was then needed to ferry more than TWENTY cases of luggage back to the country estate. Both Priscilla, 61, and Lisa
Marie, 38, will celebrate New Year's Eve in Ireland before returning to the States early next week.
During their week-long stay they will be able to enjoy skeet shooting, archery and falconry. Priscilla, a keen rider,
will also be able to enjoy long pony treks around the estate's vast grounds.
A castle insider told the Irish Sun: "Everything has gone really well for Priscilla and Lisa Marie. "They managed to sneak into the airport unnoticed and arrived safe and sound at the castle.
"Priscilla is a big fan of Gottfried's art and there is a load for the party to do around the grounds. "
The Graceland gang are not the only celebs to have graced the grounds of Gurteen Castle.
Last December ultra-weird rocker Marilyn Manson and his stunning burlesque stripper girlfriend Dita Von Teese tied the knot there. The stately castle was transformed into a gothic fortress for the happy couple.
And celebrity pals Johnny Depp, Madonna and her movie-director husband Guy Ritchie were guests at the event.
Lisa Marie Presley was also at the nuptials. Other A-listers to have visited the castle are that the guests are stocking up for their own private New Year's bash.
He said: "Kilasheen is a fairly private and quiet town so it is unlikely the Presleys will be welcoming in the New Year with the locals. "At the moment it certainly looks like they are preparing for their own private bash in the castle itself."
He added: "Vans have been coming and going all morning so it will probably be a lavish enough affair and certainly won't be cheap."
Something to consider if they are staying for a week is that Marilyn Manson's two-day stay and wedding cost in the region of £40,000. But this is only a drop in the well for the Presleys who are one of the richest families in the
United States.
The Irish Sun called to the door of Castle Gurteen De Poer yesterday - and requested an interview with the Presleys.
But a woman in the house said: "There will be no interviews, no nothing. This is private property. Now please leave."
